Jenny Edge
Biography
After completing an Art Foundation course at Mid Warwickshire College, I earned a BA (Hons) in Fine Art (Painting) from Cheltenham Art School. There, I started creating large canvases with transparent glazes, evolving from spontaneous mark making to dynamic figurative paintings that use the human form to convey narrative and expression.

A wonderfully diverse career as a commercial artist and designer followed. Commissioned work includes Murals, portraits, custom paintings, book illustrations and specialist paint finishes like marbling, woodgraining, Trompe L’oeil and decorative ornamental design. My work can be found all over the world in both domestic and commercial settings.
Most of my time is now spent in the studio advancing my personal painting practice, delving into abstraction, and employing the myriad of techniques I've honed over the years. I revel in experimenting with colour and texture, embracing an intuitive and expressive approach to my work. Themes and narratives emerge through my process and and are concluded with intention.

My paintings range from small studies to large scale canvases and are available to purchase.
I exhibit regularly and open my studio and small gallery by appointment.
